Pedro Paricio (Canary Islands, 1982), is one of the artists born in Spain with more international projection of his generation. His work is a multidisciplinary prism around a pictorial body. Sculpture, video or engraving are transversal narratives to his paintings, in an intertextual cosmos with the present and past culture. In 2011 he was included by the curator Francesca Gavín in the book “100 New Artist”. His paintings have been referenced in publications in cities such as New York, Tokyo, Barcelona, Lisbon, Berlin and Madrid, including magazine covers in Seoul and Paris.

Paricio’s work is part of important private collections in countries such as the United States, Hong Kong, France, Russia, United Kingdom, South Africa, Mexico, Netherlands, Arab Emirates, China and Brazil, as well as national and international public collections, being the only living Spanish artist that is part of the permanent collection of the Norton Museum of Art in Florida, USA.

When he was only 28 years old, he began to be represented by the London gallery Halcyon Gallery, specialized in combining the representation of contemporary artists with the exhibition of modern masters. Pedro Paricio has also published several essays on art and more recently a collection of short stories, presented on the occasion of his exhibition Versión Extendida, at the CAB. He is currently preparing new projects in the UK and Spain.
