Fashion Art by Manuel Fernández was born in 1998 with the desire to offer to the most outstanding artists of the international pictorial panorama, a new and exceptional support where to express their work: a dress-canvas. Each artist acts by intervening on a different dress, in white, where he/she expresses his/her work and, consequently, creates a unique work.
The legend tells that she produced corn by rubbing her stomach and armpits, which produced disgust in the children who took her for a witch and decided to kill her. Knowing what her children thought, she instructed them to kill her, bury her body and watch over her at night. They did as she said, and the next morning the corn had grown and was ready to be harvested.
The news soon spread throughout the town, and people came from all over to ask for corn. They were given some but were warned that they had to watch for it every night of the seven days it took to return, on the seventh night although they tried to avoid it they fell asleep; for this reason the corn no longer grows so fast and farming became hard work.
