THE WORK

Sickboy is a street artist from Bristol, UK, known for his temple logo and his SICKBOY ‘Save the Youth’ slogan. He moved to London in 2007 and his street art became prevalent in the East End boroughs of Shoreditch and Tower Hamlets in particular. Perhaps the frst British artist to use a pictorial logo for a tag, he is tipped by the leading fnancial press as one of the most collectible artists of the street art movement. Sickboy’s humorous works have secured his place in the upper echelons of the British street art movement. Sickboy originally trained in fne art and, as well as painting grafti on the street, he also paints on canvas and exhibits his work conventionally in art galleries. He has built up one of the largest bodies of street art works in UK history, which has led to his being tipped by the leading fnancial press as one of the movement’s most bankable artists.

Inspiration:

Street art is part of multiculturalism in a country like the UK. My work combines technique: grafti with my personal sense of humour.
